Heather passed her RHIA in January of 2005. Heather began working at South Haven Health System in September 2004 as the Supervisor of Medical Records. She was a working supervisor. Her duties included managing filing, chart processing, delinquency rates, coding and the outsourced transcription. In March 2010 she became the Reimbursement Analyst for South Haven Health System. Heather's current duties include maintaining the chargemaster and bad debt logs, managing RAC requests and appeals, as well as, auditing payment logs. She is also responsible for overseeing the credentialing process and the receiving account reconciliation. Heather is actively involved in the Chargemaster, RAC, Revenue Cycle, and Utilization Review Committees. Heather married Rodney DeHaan in June of 2003. They have two children, a dog and two guinea pigs. They enjoy camping and outdoor activities as well as watching movies and relaxing with family and friends. After graduating, Shelly worked for Holland Hospital from 2008-2009 as the Emergency Department Charge Analyst. In 2009, Shelly held the position of professional coder for South Haven Health System's clinics. Currently, she is the Medical Records Supervisor for South Haven Health System. Shelly has been on the board for SWMHIMA since 2008. In her free time, Shelly enjoys getting together with friends and family. She also has a dog, Sadie, and two horses, Jake and Branden.
